Robotnik's Egg Pod

Over the span of about a month in my own free time I created a next gen version of the Stardust Speedway Sonic CD variant of Robotnik's Egg Pod (or Egg Mobile) for use in a short film cinematic I have been working on. All parts were made from scratch with the exception of borrowing some of my own suspension car parts from previous personal projects to fill in some smaller details. In straight man hours the entire process from start to finish from blockout to final must have been about 40-48 hours worth of work excluding the in scene lighting, vfx, rigging and animation final polish process that came along as the film itself developed. Below the final renders are early development screens and moodboard screen of some of the references I used as I created the forms part by part. The 3 videos posted are a simply a flythrough, the entire texture session and the entire modeling session sped up x10-x20.
